Want to see the 2016 Reebok CrossFit Games events for just one day? Unless you’re friends or family with a headlining competitor, you may be out of luck. Earlier this week, CrossFit released their updated ticket policies for the 2016 Reebok CrossFit Games, and the changes from previous years are significant. Some key information:

  • The 2016 Reebok CrossFit Games begin on Tuesday, July 19th. Masters and Teenagers will start competing that day in the soccer stadium, and both divisions will conclude Thursday evening.
  • Individual and Team competitions begin on Wednesday, July 20th, pause on Thursday, and resume from Friday through Sunday.
  • Competition from Friday through Sunday starts at 9am in the StubHub’s Soccer Stadium with Team events. Evening events will be held in the Tennis Stadium, which has night time lighting.
  • There are no one-day passes to see Games events; tickets are only available in multi-day packages.
  • There are two types of ticket packages: All-Access and Soccer Stadium. There are subdivisions within each package, and tickets cost (based on seating) between $225 and $500 for All-Access and between $75 and $125 for Soccer Stadium.
  • CrossFit hasn’t specifically addressed this, but it sounds like every level of ticket holder gets access to the vendor village (which, of course, makes sense — come buy some stuff!).
  • Affiliate pre-sales for tickets begin April 22nd, and tickets go on sale to the general public on April 28th. Both are run through AXS.com.

The CrossFit Games site has a lot more information on this page, including details on parking, child admission, and ticket package sharing.

CrossFit is encouraging friends and family members of potential qualifiers to go ahead and purchase tickets during the normal public offering, as there aren’t a ton of comped passes available. Masters and Teens receive comped Mid-Week passes for their competitions, and Teams receive six comped All-Access passes (and have the option to purchase up to four more).

Individual qualifiers to the main event get two comped All-Access passes and can buy up to three more. Basically, if you’re one of the elite to make the CrossFit Games, Mom and Dad can get in for free, but Grandma, Grandpa, and Uncle Chuck are going to need to pony up (same goes for annoying siblings).
