Zeke Grove qualified for his first CrossFit Games appearance in 2016 out of the hyper-competitive Pacific Region. Grove — one of only a handful of athletes to complete every workout at the 2016 Regionals — has always been comfortable with the gymnastic elements of fitness, and when it comes to most bodyweight movements, he’s generally toward the top of the pack in terms of endurance and cycle time.
Recently, his coach and mentor Darren Coughlan — founder of CrossFit Newcastle, GCS Training, and the GCS Podcast — brought our attention to Grove’s most recent accomplishment: 30 unbroken ring muscle-ups, which he completed as the first part of a “45 muscle-ups for time” workout.
Check out the full 30 unbroken reps below, embedded from our Facebook account. Is Zeke Grove the first Games athlete to complete this many ring muscle-ups unbroken? Let us know in the comments below if someone beat him to it — only if it’s verified on film, that is!
