Watch Mattie Rogers Go 6 for 6 to Win the American Open Championship!

Mattie Rogers made easy work of the 2016 American Open Championship, making all six lifts on her way to winning the women’s 69kg category.

Rogers went 97-100-103 in the snatch and 123-127-130 in the clean & jerk to seal her victory. Rogers was well ahead of her competition and didn’t need to attack any record-breaking numbers in order to walk away with all three gold medals (snatch, clean & jerk, and total).

The victory comes less than a month after Rogers won the 2016 World University Championship in Mexico.

She finished 233kg total, 30kg ahead of 69kg A session’s second place finisher, Erin Andica.

Earlier in the day, Colin Burns set a new American Senior snatch record in the men’s 94kg weight class with 173kg. Watch Burns’ record breaking lift here.
